On May 17, PSL X will resume in a euphoric atmosphere.

After a brief break due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan, the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) Season 10 is officially back on track, with games starting on May 17.

Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), confirmed the news on Tuesday, saying that eight games would be played starting on May 17 and ending on May 25 for the grand finale.

A ceasefire accord that contributed to the region’s stability allowed the league to continue.

Naqvi added in a passionate social media post, “PSL X continues where it left off! No fear, six teams. As we get together to celebrate cricket’s spirit, let the aura take over.

In what is expected to be an exciting championship finale, all six PSL teams will play again. The revelation has excited fans nationwide, and plans are in motion to guarantee strict security and efficient operations at game locations.

Following a fatal cross-border escalation that claimed 51 Pakistani lives—40 civilians and 11 security personnel—the league was unexpectedly suspended last week. The PCB decided to postpone the tournament because the tragedy had left the nation in sadness.

On May 8, when the 27th match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi was supposed to take place in Rawalpindi, PSL X was postponed because of growing tensions with India. Security fears increased when an Indian drone reportedly crashed close to the stadium that same morning.

The event was halted due to the delicate nature of the issue. The PCB first contemplated moving the remaining matches to Dubai, but government advisories caused them to abandon the idea. The competition was put on hold indefinitely.

But things have improved since the recent ceasefire between India and Pakistan, which has led to attempts to move the competition and finish it domestically.
