Individual apprehended with a firearm within the courthouse

The Islampura police thwarted a murder attempt in the Lahore Sessions Court, apprehending three suspects, including an armed individual who entered the premises with the intention of assassinating his adversaries.
SP City Bilal Ahmad stated that security personnel positioned at the court detained the suspect, identified as Shakir, prior to the execution of the attack.
The defendant allegedly acted out of personal animosity and conspired with accomplices during a current judicial proceeding.
“The suspect wanted to cause harm to his rivals inside the court premises based on longstanding grudges. The plan was well-coordinated and could have led to serious bloodshed,” said SP Bilal Ahmad, adding that Shakir had been given a weapon by the complainant in a murder case.
Subsequent to Shakir’s apprehension, he admitted to the conspiracy during police questioning and disclosed the participation of additional persons, including the architect of the scheme. Responding to the intelligence, DSP Hafiz Obaidullah and SHO Islampura conducted operations to detain further suspects.
The police subsequently verified the apprehension of the orchestrators Qaisar, Shakir, and Maqsood Nazir. The suspects were allegedly engaged in persistent personal and legal conflicts, encompassing prior homicide cases.
