Bilawal represented Pakistan on the international stage during challenging periods. Asifa Zardari

Asifa Bhutto Zardari, a leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and First Lady, commended Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for his representation of Pakistan internationally during challenging periods and emphasized the need to prioritize education and tackle power shortages impacting the impoverished.
In her address before the National Assembly session, Asifa commenced by honoring the nation’s armed forces for their defense of the homeland.
She praised Bilawal Bhutto for presenting a favorable image of Pakistan on the global stage amid challenging periods. She claimed that should the nation encounter another crisis, every mother, child, and youth will rise to defend the country.
She underscored the necessity of augmenting financial support for education, deeming it a national imperative. “It is disgraceful that in 2025, numerous individuals remain without electricity,” she stated, emphasizing that certain areas endure up to 15 hours of load-shedding, exacerbating the difficulties faced by the impoverished and working classes.
Asifa reiterated that the PPP remains dedicated to the politics of public service and would persist in advocating for the disadvantaged and marginalized sectors of society.
