Flight operations at Lahore airport are disrupted by torrential rains.

Torrential rains in Lahore on Wednesday caused major delays for a number of domestic and international flights by interfering with flight operations at Allama Iqbal International Airport.
The heavy rain that started early in the day affected ground operations and visibility, according to airport officials.
A private airline’s flight 401 from Lahore to Karachi departed after a delay of over an hour, while another Karachi-bound flight experienced a 44-minute delay.
Similarly, flight 629 operated by a foreign carrier en route to Doha took off with a 30-minute delay.
Flight 625 to Dubai, also operated by a foreign airline, was delayed by 30 minutes. In the meantime, there was a 44-minute delay in a private airline’s flight to Dubai.
Flight 745, scheduled to depart for Istanbul, had not departed by the time of filing this report.
Airport officials said operations had been temporarily suspended earlier in the day due to the intensity of the rainfall. However, flight movement resumed gradually as weather conditions slightly improved.
Passengers have been advised to check with their respective airlines for updated flight schedules.
