Mohsin Naqvi convenes the ACC annual meeting in Bangladesh despite objections from India.

The President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), Mohsin Naqvi, has convened the ACC’s annual general meeting in Bangladesh, notwithstanding objections from India.
The annual general meeting is scheduled for July 24 in Dhaka, with official invitations already dispatched to member countries.
This marks the first occurrence in several years that the ACC convenes in Bangladesh, coinciding with the cricket series between Pakistan and Bangladesh taking place concurrently.
Representatives from all ACC member countries are anticipated to attend.
However, India and Sri Lanka have reportedly expressed concerns about the venue and requested a change in location and date.
Notwithstanding this, ACC insiders assert that the meeting is expected to occur as scheduled in Dhaka. A 15-day advance notice was provided to afford members adequate preparation time.
Sources indicated that virtual participation will be offered to any member unable to attend in person, a format now widely accepted by international sports organizations, including ACC and ICC meetings.
The decision to proceed with the Dhaka venue is perceived as a measure to affirm regional neutrality and uphold continuity in cricket governance throughout Asia.
