Terrorists attack Bannu security personnel using quadcopters.

Terrorists are employing sophisticated strategies, including as drone strikes, bombings, and targeted kidnappings, in a string of coordinated operations in Bannu district and North Waziristan, which has raised security worries in the area.
A quadcopter drone attacked security personnel in Bannu close to the Nala Tochi bridge. The attack’s use of a drone represents a worrying development in the strategies employed by militant organisations active in the area.
A key bridge in the Haved police jurisdiction is destroyed by an explosive device.
Separately, in the vicinity of the Haved police station, militants planted and detonated an explosive device on the Janikhel-Bannu connecting bridge. Transportation and supply routes were disrupted by the severe damage to the bridge caused by the strong blast. Police verified that a purposeful act of sabotage had been committed against the bridge.
In a retaliatory operation, two militants were killed.
Security personnel reportedly killed two militants engaged in the attacks and immediately launched a counter-operation, according to authorities.
Targeted FC Vehicle: One Dead, One Wounded
Additionally, in Bannu, terrorists opened fire on a Frontier Corps (FC) vehicle, killing the driver and injuring another FC member. To find the attackers, a search operation has been launched in the region.
Repelled Attack on Basyakhel Police Station
The Basyakhel Police Station was successfully defended by security forces against a late-night insurgent attack. Using heavy weaponry, the attackers came from all sides but were pushed back by the police’s determined and well-coordinated defence.
District Police Officer (DPO) Bannu, Saleem Abbas Kalachi, stated that the gunfight lasted for about an hour. The attackers were able to flee under the cover of darkness, although no casualties were reported. They have started a manhunt.
