IGP authorizes an extra Rs2.8 million for police and family medical care.

Dr. Usman Anwar, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Punjab, approved an additional Rs. 2.8 million fund on Friday to support police officers’ and their families’ medical care.

ASI Hussain Ahmed Shah received Rs. 1 million for kidney treatment, Constable Daniyal Safdar received Rs. 1 million for his son’s open heart surgery, ASI Ali Iqbal received Rs. 500,000 for his medical needs, ASI Ejaz Hussain received Rs. 100,000 for kidney stone treatment, and Constable Muhammad Arif received Rs. 100,000 for arm fracture treatment, according to the Punjab Police spokesperson. For spinal treatment, Head Constable Imtiaz Ahmad was given Rs. 100,000.

The Medical Financial Assistance Committee, which was chaired by IG Dr. Usman Anwar, thoroughly reviewed and approved the funds before they were made available.

The IG added that in order to guarantee top-notch medical care for its employees and their families, Punjab Police was also collaborating with other organizations through Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
