On Friday, a five-story residential building collapsed in the megacity’s Lyari neighborhood, trapping multiple people beneath the debris.
Rescue officials report that five injured individuals have been rescued from the wreckage thus far. According to them, a number of other people are still thought to be buried beneath the debris.
Relief efforts are being actively carried out by rescuers.
Rescue agencies, police, and Rangers arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and using heavy machinery to remove the debris in search of people stuck there.
Rescue efforts are also receiving assistance from locals.
