Azerbaijan and Pakistan have decided to strengthen their trade and investment cooperation.

This occurred during a meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Khankendi during the ECO Summit.

Regarding the investment prospects, the two leaders were pleased with the advancements.

They reaffirmed their commitment to fortifying the economic alliance, particularly with regard to Azerbaijan’s investment in Pakistan.

The prime minister reiterated that the recent exchanges between the two nations’ leaders have contributed to the relationship’s continued strengthening.

Shehbaz Sharif once again invited President Ilham to come to Pakistan as soon as possible.

Azerbaijan FM and DPM Dar agree to improve bilateral relations.

Earlier, on the fringes of the 17th ECO Summit in Khankendi, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.

The deputy prime minister praised Azerbaijan’s leadership for their proactive role in ECO and congratulated them on hosting the summit successfully.

“We reaffirmed our commitment to strengthening cooperation across diverse sectors and reiterated that recent high-level exchanges have further strengthened our bilateral ties,” he continued.

DPM Dar and the foreign ministers of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan decide to improve their bilateral relations.

On the fringes of the 17th ECO Summit in Shusha, Azerbaijan, Ishaq Dar also had a separate meeting with Rashid Meredov, the foreign minister of Turkmenistan.

“We reviewed progress on important areas of cooperation, especially in energy, trade, and regional connectivity, and reaffirmed our commitment to strong Pakistan-Turkmenistan ties.” On his social media account on “X,” the deputy prime minister wrote, “We also talked about regional and global issues of mutual concern and our shared resolve to promote regional peace and security.”

Additionally, he expressed his sincere gratitude to Turkmenistan for helping to evacuate Pakistanis from Iran during the most recent regional crisis.
