The court rejects the request to file a case against Arif Alvi.

A Local court has rejected a petition for the registration of a criminal case against former president Arif Alvi.
The Additional Sessions Judge announced that issues pertaining to social media are within the jurisdiction of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, as stated in the written order. The petitioner was instructed to seek the relevant forum.
The petitioner, Shehzada Adnan, represented by attorney Mudassir Chaudhry, asserted that Arif Alvi employed blasphemous language in a video disseminated on social media, and that despite lodging a complaint with the police, no FIR was filed.
The court determined that the issue did not necessitate judicial intervention at this juncture and rejected the petition.
