Shibli Faraz, the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate and a prominent member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was urgently transported to the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology late Tuesday night due to chest pain.
Reports indicate that immediate medical treatment was administered upon his arrival due to concerns regarding a cardiac condition.
Medical professionals have opted to monitor him for the subsequent 24 hours, and a medical team will convene today (Wednesday) to ascertain the forthcoming steps in his treatment.
