On her 58th death anniversary, Madr-e-Millat Fatima Jinnah was remembered.

The sister of founding father Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Madr-e-Millat (mother of the nation), Fatima Jinnah, is being honored nationwide on Wednesday (today).
The iron lady is still remembered today, 58 years after her untimely death, for her unwavering support of civil rights and her tireless efforts on behalf of the Pakistan Movement.
After his wife passed away in 1929, Muhammad Ali Jinnah was greatly impacted. Fatima Jinnah collaborated with him and brought the women of the subcontinent together on a single platform, which facilitated the fight for a Muslim state.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who became her guardian after their father passed away in 1901, was the person she was closest to. She was a key figure in the Pakistan Movement, fervently opposing the British Raj and endorsing the two-nation theory.
She co-founded the Pakistan Women’s Association following Pakistan’s independence, which was crucial to the influx of migrant women into the newly established nation.
At the age of 71, she made a comeback to the political scene by running against Ayub Khan in the 1964 elections.
At the age of 71, Fatima passed away in Karachi on July 9, 1967.
Fatima Jinnah is remembered for her ardent fight in the Pakistan Movement and her strong support of civil rights. She was buried at Mazar-e-Quaid beside her brother.
