The government’s dedication to a consultative policy framework is reiterated by Aurangzeb.

Here on Wednesday, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to upholding an inclusive and continuous consultative process with important business community stakeholders.
The minister acknowledged the value of the Pakistan Business Council’s (PBC) research, policy input, and the vast sectoral data that is regularly shared with the government during a meeting with the PBC delegation, which was led by the organization’s departing CEO Ehsan Malik and its incoming CEO Javed Kureish.
The minister praised the change in leadership at the PBC and gave the new team his full support, according to a press release from the finance division.
In order to institutionalize tax policy formulation and improve interaction with platforms like the PBC, he told the delegation that the Tax Policy Office had been moved from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to the Finance Division. He also emphasized the significance of evidence-based policymaking.
The federal budget 2025–2026 consultative process was started earlier than usual this year, according to Senator Aurangzeb, who underlined that the government values the opinions and input of the business and industrial community.
He added that this action was done to give more time for discussion, introspection, and incorporating a variety of suggestions from business forums, trade associations, and chambers into the budget-making process.
