Sheikhupura seized 80,000 kg of expired frozen meat from popular restaurants.

Alongside food safety officials in Ferozewala, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab, Salma Butt, spearheaded a significant crackdown that resulted in the seizure of 80,000 kilogrammes of rotten and odorous frozen meat.
The unsanitary and dangerous meat was discovered in sacks inside a cold storage facility, officials said. One suspect has been apprehended and a case has been filed.
According to Salma Butt, the tainted meat was meant to be supplied to large eateries, supermarkets, and well-known food chains.
She went on to say that the establishment was not following SOPs for food safety and was functioning in unhygienic conditions.
Authorities have stressed ongoing inspections around the province and promised tough measures against anybody posing a health risk.
