Following a brief imprisonment, PTI leader Raja Basharat was released.

Raja Basharat, a former provincial minister and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was briefly held by Rawalpindi police before being released.
Raja Basharat and his attorney, Advocate Sardar Abdul Razzaq Khan, have appeared before the election tribunal in the NA-55 case. His car was surrounded by cops as they left the tribunal.
After thereafter, the PTI leader and his car were arrested and transported to the New Town police station.
Raja Basharat declared that he is unfazed by such techniques and has confirmed bail in every case. Sardar Abdul Razzaq, his attorney, also attested that the police had seen all of the bail documents, yet they nevertheless went ahead and made the arrest.
After the bail documents were verified, Raja Basharat was later released from the New Town police station, according to the lawyer.
