Israel’s unlawful annexation attempt in the occupied West Bank is vehemently denounced by Pakistan.
The illegal attempt by the Israeli parliament to claim “sovereignty” over the Occupied West Bank was categorically denounced by Pakistan.
The Foreign Office said in a statement on Friday that Israel’s continued disrespect for Palestinian rights and established international conventions is reflected in this heinous conduct, which is a serious breach of international law.
These intentional and provocative acts demonstrate the occupying power’s persistent attempts to thwart peace initiatives and solidify its unlawful occupation. The prospects for a fair and long-lasting resolution as well as regional stability are at risk due to these unilateral actions, which constitute a risky escalation.
Pakistan urges the international community to act swiftly and forcefully to hold Israel responsible for its transgressions of international humanitarian law and resolutions of the UN Security Council.
“The internationally recognized status of the Occupied Palestinian Territory will not be altered or recognized by these measures.”
Pakistan reiterates its steadfast support for the intrinsic right to self-determination of the Palestinian people. In line with pertinent UN resolutions, we adamantly support the creation of an independent, sovereign, and sustainable Palestinian state centered on the pre-June 1967 boundaries, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif serving as its capital.
