PM Shehbaz and Fazlur Rehman talk about the state of politics today.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), visited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday to talk about the nation’s present political climate.
Sources said that during the meeting, Maulana Fazlur Rehman informed the Prime Minister about the latest legislation as well as other issues raised by the religious political parties.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman was reassured by the prime minister that the government and religious parties would communicate and come to an accord in order to settle all issues.
A group of senators, MNAs, tribal elders (Maliks), and other leaders from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s tribal regions met with the prime minister earlier in the day to voice their worries about the province’s deteriorating law and order situation.
The governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the JUI-F, were also in attendance.
The session was also attended by KP’s Inspector General, Chief Secretary, FBR representatives, and federal ministers Rana Sanaullah, Ahsan Iqbal, and Ikhtiar Wali.
According to sources, the tribal elders were upset that their communities still lacked essential facilities like clinics and schools in spite of large cash contributions.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif responded by asking how much had been paid out overall for tribal districts. He was informed by officials that Rs700 billion had already been allotted.
Although the federal government provides the cash, the elders emphasized that they are transferred to the provincial government’s account, which is opaque.
To guarantee appropriate use, they insisted that a distinct account be created especially for the tribal districts.
The team was reassured by PM Shehbaz that immediate measures are being made to improve governance and bring peace back to the area. He also suggested that a committee led by Amir Muqam include tribal representation.
