Following a track “explosion,” 300 passengers aboard the Jaffer Express were moved to Quetta via shuttle train.

After the Jaffer Express was canceled due to an explosion on the railway track between Bakhtiarabad and Damboli, train operations on the Quetta route are still hampered. Authorities organized a shuttle train that carried about 300 passengers to Quetta.

Due to track damage following Thursday’s explosion, the train, which was traveling from Peshawar to Quetta, was stopped in Sibi.

The district government temporarily housed the passengers at the local circuit house.

Coach number seven was partially damaged in the blast, which was directed at the Bolan Mail, which was headed for Karachi.

For several hours, rail traffic was halted while rescue and security personnel cleared the impacted area.
