Pakistan denies the West Bank sovereignty claim made by the Israeli parliament.

Pakistan has vehemently denounced as unlawful and provocative the Israeli parliament’s recent assertion of sovereignty over the occupied West Bank.
The Foreign Office said in a statement on Wednesday that the Israeli move is a grave violation of Palestinian rights and a flagrant breach of international law.
According to the spokesperson, “the illegal claim over the occupied West Bank by the Israeli parliament is condemnable.” “It represents a continuous violation of international norms and the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people.”
According to the statement, such inflammatory and unilateral actions sabotage regional peace initiatives and are a part of a larger plan to solidify illegal occupation.
Pakistan reiterated that any unilateral Israeli activities intended to change the internationally recognized status of Palestinian territory are not recognized by Pakistan. With Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) serving as the capital of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, the Foreign Office reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders.
The spokesperson called on the international community to hold Israel responsible and make sure that pertinent UN resolutions are followed.
