The government said that the floods in GB have destroyed over 500 homes and killed nine people.

As search efforts in Gilgit-Baltistan continue, the spokesperson acknowledged to the media that 10 to 12 people are still unaccounted for.

More than 500 homes and more than 12 kilometers of roads have been destroyed by the floodwaters, causing extensive destruction.

The rampaging floodwaters have also washed away 22 vehicles and 27 bridges. In addition, thousands of feet of lumber have been carried away by the torrents, and numerous stores and animal shelters have been destroyed.

According to reports, District Diamer has sustained the greatest losses in terms of both people and property. Over 300 stranded tourists and travelers have been successfully rescued, but over a dozen people have been hurt in the tragedy.

The search and rescue efforts to find the missing people are still in progress, and the Pakistan Army has taken the lead in these efforts.

According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), at least 13 persons have died in the last 24 hours as a result of the destructive continuous monsoon rains that are sweeping over Pakistan.

Thirteen people were also hurt in a number of rain-related incidents during that time, according to the NDMA. With seven fatalities, Punjab had the highest number, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where three people were killed by flooding and strong rains.

Two people were killed in rain-related incidents in Islamabad, while one person died in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. As the monsoon season heats up, the NDMA warned of more severe rains and advised locals to stay alert and stay away from regions that are susceptible.
