Because there are fewer pilgrims, Pakistan cuts the number of Hajj aides by 50%.

Following a sharp decline in the number of pilgrims from Pakistan, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has decided to cut the number of Hajj aides for the 2025 pilgrimage by 50%.
Through a tough National Testing Service (NTS) exam, 840 assistants were initially chosen to serve 179,210 pilgrims. However, sources stated that only 440 aides will now be dispatched because 67,000 Pakistanis are unable to perform the Hajj this year.
According to officials, the ministry would use the services of the first 440 applicants who passed the NTS exam in accordance with the updated specifications. The goal of the decision is to match the number of support workers to the number of pilgrims who are actually going to Saudi Arabia.
