Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan on Thursday said that the body wishes to hold eight Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018 matches in the country, it has been learnt.
The PCB chairman reportedly said that the board will try to hold four matches of the PSL third edition in Karachi, while four in Lahore.
While briefing the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC), Shehryar Khan said that eight matches during the PSL 2018 will be played in Pakistan, DawnNews reported.
He said, “It is hoped that half of those matches will be played in Karachi whereas the remaining will be played in Lahore.”
During the standing committee’s session, Khan said that the PSL 2017 final held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium in January was a “huge success” and had generated “higher TV rating than any India-Pakistan match.”
