A police officer protecting an anti-polio team was hurt in the Bannu shooting.

In the Saddar police station’s jurisdiction, the police officer was assigned to protect the anti-polio squad during the campaign against the debilitating illness.

The person who was hurt has been identified as Hayat Ullah.

According to authorities, the act seems to have been driven by personal animosity.

Section 144 was previously enforced for seven days in Bannu.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abdul Hameed said that Section 144 would be enforced throughout the district for seven days, with immediate effect, according to the facts.

Among the limitations are prohibitions on carrying weapons, riding motorbikes in tandem, and using tinted car windows.

These actions were taken in accordance with the anti-polio campaign that began on December 16 (today), the Bannu DC explained.

He added that individuals who disobey the limits will face severe consequences.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is scheduled to begin an anti-polio campaign tomorrow, December 16, despite obstacles such as vaccination rejection, missed targets, phoney finger marking, and a lack of support from district health officers and administrations.
