After experiencing a technical issue, the PIA airplane returns to Karachi.

KARACHI: Just minutes after taking off from the airport, another Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight experienced a technical issue.

A PIA representative revealed that flight PK 503, which was traveling from Karachi to Gwadar, had to return to Jinnah International Airport in Karachi due to a mechanical issue that occurred shortly after takeoff.

The pilot reported an issue with the aircraft’s engine, forcing the flight, which had left for Gwadar at 8:13 AM, to stop.

Air traffic control was notified of the problem, and the ATR 42 aircraft was rerouted back to Karachi, where it made a safe landing forty-three minutes later.

At Karachi airport, the aircraft is presently undergoing a comprehensive check. The official stated that after receiving approval from the Engineering Department, the flight will be allowed to return to Gwadar.

A mechanical issue occurred on a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Karachi to Islamabad on December 24 after the aircraft had taken off.

A PIA representative stated that the problem was that shortly after takeoff, the landing gear on the aircraft failed to retract.

As soon as possible, the captain called the control tower and ordered the airplane to make an emergency landing in Karachi.

On the flight from Karachi to Islamabad was Khurram Mushtaq, the CEO of PIA. Later, passengers were moved to a different plane, which transported them to Islamabad without incident.

The landing gear’s technical issue resulted in the aircraft being grounded.
