Punjab police have completed their Christmas security plan. Quaid-e-Azam Day
A Punjab police spokesperson stated that the province will see the deployment of more than 30,000 officers.
Over 5,000 police officers will be assigned to guard Lahore’s churches, guaranteeing the security of worshippers over the holiday season.
In addition, more than 1,000 cops would be on duty to oversee security for Quaid-e-Azam Day celebrations. To stop any undesirable events, there will be increased security and a high-alert state.
According to IG Punjab, additional police officers will be stationed around sensitive churches, and all officers are expected to be on the lookout for any suspicious activities, especially from anti-state groups. Additionally, officers are responsible for communicating with church administrations to guarantee smooth security preparations.
IG Punjab has also called on religious leaders from all denominations to encourage peaceful and united observance of the holidays by fostering interfaith harmony.
In addition to celebrating Christmas, the country will mark the 25th anniversary of Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s birth.
This year, December 25 is a public holiday, according to the cabinet division’s circular.
