ECP Director General Training Saeed Gul will serve as the Returning Officer in the nation’s capital, according a notice. On the other hand, the returning officers for Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan will be provincial election commissioners Aijaz Anwar Chohan, Sharifullah, Shamshad Khan, and Muhammad Farid Afridi, respectively.

One general seat and one seat reserved for technocrats, such as Ulema from the federal capital, will be chosen by members of the National Assembly.

The ECP also called on members of the provincial assemblies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Punjab, and Sindh to elect representatives to fill seven general seats, two seats for women, and two seats for technocrats. These seats include Ulema from each province, one seat for non-Muslims in each of Punjab and Sindh, and one seat for ulemas from each province.
