‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ project loans will be given based on merit: CM Maryam

According to Maryam Nawaz, chief minister of Punjab, loans under the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” scheme will only be given based on merit.

She added in a statement released on Sunday that borrowers who receive a Rs1.5 million loan will only be required to pay back the principal over a nine-year period in increments of Rs14,000 per month.

More than 5,000 homes under the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” program are almost finished, and phase two loans have started the house-building process.

Three separate microfinance institutions are responsible for verifying applications through the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” site.

According to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s orders, the goal is to build 100,000 homes in a year and 500,000 in five years.

Maryam Nawaz has underlined how crucial it is to meet the goals of the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” project.
