Canada’s Transport finds Pakistan’s aviation security adequate.

Airport Security Force (ASF) reports that after a comprehensive assessment, the crew determined that the airport’s security measures were adequate.

The Transport Canada team was briefed by the ASF team, which is made up of National Inspectors, during the audit.

An overview of security deployment, access control, screening, pass issuing, and emergency circumstances was provided to the evaluation team.

The team from Transport Canada applauded the ASF’s efforts for implementing extra safety precautions on Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) direct flights to Canada.

The committee also rated Pakistan’s international airports’ general aviation security procedures as good.

It is important to note that on July 15, a two-person delegation from Transport Canada arrived in Pakistan to conduct a security audit at Jinnah International Airport.

In the Civil Aviation offices, Director PCA Shahid Qadir cordially received the delegation, which included Transportation Security Inspectors Barbara Dudrat and Abdul Tahir.

The delegation’s task was to evaluate how the airport’s numerous security procedures were being implemented.

In particular, PIA flights were the subject of this assessment, which also included an examination of the protocols and extra security measures in place for direct flights from Pakistan to Canada.
