IHC postpones PTI founder’s bail request in relation to 190 million pounds.

May 13 is the new date set by the Islamabad High Court for the hearing on the PTI founder’s bail request in the 190 million pounds case.

Chief Justice Amer Farooq of the IHC presided over a two-member bench that handled the case.

In court were Amjad Parvez, the prosecutor for the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), and Sardar Latif Khosa, who defended the PTI founder.

During the beginning of the case, the national legal community called for a nationwide strike, and the NAB prosecutor asked the court to postpone the hearing.

The chief justice said, “This is terrible,” referring to the events that took place in Lahore on Wednesday. However, he went on, the court could not sanction demonstrations.

Subsequently, the PTI founder’s bail plea hearing was postponed by the court to Monday, May 13.

The next hearing will see NAB prosecutor Amjad Pervez present his case.
