Malik Shahzad Ahmed Naeem Akhtar Afghan Selected as SC Judge and CJ LHC and CJ BHC: Judicial Commission

The appointment of Justice Shahzad Ahmed Malik as Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court and Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan as Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court to the Supreme Court has been proposed by the Judicial Commission. On March 8 of this year, Amir Hussain Bhatti, the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court currently in office, will retire.

Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa presided over the Judicial Commission meeting in Islamabad.

Participants at the conference included members of the Commission, retired judges, and senior justices of the Supreme Court. The Parliamentary Committee received a referral about the two appointments from the Judicial Commission.
