Notify Mansoor Ali Shah as the future Chief Justice of Pakistan, Maulana Fazl’suggests’ the PML-N

When it comes to notifying the next CJP, the head of the JUI-F has reportedly cautioned that any delay in doing so could result in additional issues.

Both the government and the opposition were required to prepare their recommendations, and he underlined the importance of having two distinct drafts: one from the PPP and PML-N (the governing alliance), and another from the opposition.

With the first meeting taking place in the National Assembly, this new development came about as a result of two discussions that took place between Rehman and the leaders of the PTI.

Yesterday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman issued a warning that warned of discontinuing talks with the government on the proposed constitutional amendment draft in response to the ‘pressure’ that their members were under.

“We are engaging with the government with absolute open-heartedness,” the JUI-F chief stated in a statement to the media in Islamabad, where he was present alongside the Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Gohar Ali Khan, and other party presidents.

It is with great regret that we are getting reports of pressure being applied to their members, and members of both the PTI and the BNP are being threatened.

“They will be forced to stop negotiations if these tactics continue,” Fazlur Rehman warned. “If they continue to use them.”

A permanent constitutional bench in the Supreme Court has been established, and it is crucial to underline that the administration has reached a complete consensus on this matter.

A stable judiciary that is capable of handling constitutional concerns will be provided by the bench, which will consist of seven permanent judges who cannot be removed from their positions, according to sources close to the development.

These judges will be allowed to rule over a variety of matters, including constitutional petitions, as well as other forms of proceedings, according to the sources.

In order to guarantee a well-organized and official procedure for the selection of these permanent judges, the Judiciary Commission will be given the ability to make appointments.

Furthermore, a suggestion to eliminate the Supreme Court’s role in the election of members of the Chief Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is being discussed during the course of the discussions.
