Pakistan denounces the Israeli prime minister’s comments regarding the Palestinian state.

Pakistan has categorically and vehemently denounced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent suggestion that the Palestinian people ought to create a state in Saudi Arabia.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s comments are reckless, provocative, and careless, according to a statement released today by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. These remarks are not only extremely offensive, but they also undercut and ignore the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights to self-determination and an independent State on their own historical and legitimate territory.

The Deputy Prime Minister said Pakistan stands in solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and commends its steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their just cause.

Any attempt to weaken Saudi Arabia’s steadfast stance and misrepresent its dedication to the Palestinian cause, he said, is extremely regretful.

According to Dar, Pakistan is adamant that the Palestinian people have the unalienable right to create an independent, sovereign state with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital, based on the pre-1967 borders.

According to him, any plan that aims to uproot or remove the Palestinian people from their historic country is intolerable and clearly violates international law, UN resolutions, and the values of justice and equity.

According to him, the Pakistani government reaffirms its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and will keep up its close collaboration with Saudi Arabia and other international players in order to promote the rights of the Palestinian people and find a fair, all-encompassing, and long-lasting solution to the Palestinian problem.

The FM called on the world community to condemn this offensive statement and hold Israel responsible for its ongoing efforts to sabotage the peace process.
