Kurram bunkers are probably going to be destroyed starting today: official

The authorities are attempting to start demolishing the bunkers in both places, but the Assistant Commissioner has stated that it is a challenging situation. Additionally, the authorities are taking action to guarantee the safety of the key road.

Today marks the 100-day closure of the main Tull-Para Chinar road. The lack of basic goods is having a negative impact and making people hungry. While power outages have been commonplace in the area, petroleum and diesel supplies have been depleted.

In Para Chinar, a shutter-down strike is being held in protest of the extended road closures. “We are waiting for the promised 170 cargo vehicles relief convoy,” the local traders association’s president said. The market would stay closed until the convoy arrives, he said.

The district government has declared that the Kurram peace deal will be implemented in stages.

The administration previously declared that it had started the process of putting the peace deal mediated between warring tribes into effect in order to keep the calm in the Kurram area, which is riven by conflict.

All of the district’s fronts will be destroyed by February 1st as part of the peace deal, and the weapons used in the tribal conflicts will be gathered and disposed of. The deal, which was reached after much discussion, intends to establish enduring peace in the area.
